What's your EDC?

I'm curious as to what everyone carries as an EDC. Non multi tool of course!

Personally I carry my Schrade Extreme Survival partially serrated ao knife everyday and LOVE it!!!!

Sorry about the poor quality of the pics, my camera is pretty old and only has 3.1 megapixels

If we are just talking about knives then my EDC varies between any of my OH folders. But since it arrived a few months ago the vast majority of the time I carry my small regular Sebenza as TBH nothing else I own even comes close;

Nice pics. Looks like a pretty sweet knife. Although I'm quite partial to partially serrated blades

I have one combo edged blade and I will never own another.  Just doesn't suit me at all.

Because I find them to be Jack of none.  IMO they aren't good at being a serrated blade and they aren't good a being a plain edged blade.  I'd sooner carry a plain edged blade that will do 99% of my cutting tasks than limit myself by just trying to get a few serrations in there.

Nowt wrong with that.  :D

Ideally I like to have a PE and a SE blade on me at all times, so I used to carry a MT that had a SE blade on it.  I have recently had a change though so now I carry a Safari Hunter, so I still have my serrated blade, and pair it with a knifeless Fuse and of course my Sebenza.  This way I have every tool covered without duplication (apart from PE blades but I like to have 2 anyway) and apart from the Sebbie it's all legal EDC as well.

I use my blast, but I'm trying to convince mt mom about a knife. However she seems to be okay if I got a surge. Is the knife on that good?

It will cut but IMO no knife on any MT compares to the comfort of a dedicated folder of decent steel.

Is that a Streamlight KeyMate?  If so, what do you think of it?  I got one in Maine and I like it, but I'm not a big fan of lights that use watch batteries since buying replacement batteries cost more than the light did!

As for knife content, well here's the closest I have to a dedicated EDC knife at the moment:

Well since TWO  Spyderco reps at the Sho Shop told me the R2 ( pictured above ) that I have been carrying daily for 2 years is quite a rare and sought after knife. The R2  was cleaned, polished and boxed this past week. Now I am on the prowl for a new EDC, I have a Benchmade 555HG that I might  start carrying this week, unless I can find a Spyderco in the drawer, somany choices and such little time, what is one to do  ???

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

I'd love to be in your predicament EOD! haha unfortunately my QUALITY knife blade selection is limited.  Right now I have a Gerber Fast Draw PE, which in all hoensty is a great knife for the money.  However, I'm throwing myself back and forth between getting a Griptillian or SOG AEGIS.  They both have pretty much everything I want, and I just can't seem to decide (and no, funds dont allow to buy ONE at the moment, let alone both hehe) anyway, heres my EDC.

Right now, I EDC my plain edge G10 Byrd Raven (see photo) but I usually rotate between my SuperKnife (ver. 1.5) and my Gerber Evo Sr.

This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

Yep it is :). Calvin gave it to me :tu:

It's not a bad light :), and has been used a fair bit and the batteries have yet to die, so on that score it's good, and is also pretty powerful given it's size too.

It'll be a nightmare when it comes to replacing the batteries though, as there not cheap over here :-\

I'm quite interested by the Leek, but the blade steel always put me of (yes I am a snob).  Perhaps I should just try one anyway or get the composite one.

Leek will be switched to 14c28n soon, which from what I can tell is quite decent (the current 13c26 is good too). Also watch various forums, I got the zdp189 shallot in brand new condition for what a regular shallot would've cost.

I've been mainly carrying my small regular sebenza. It seems to meet all my every day needs plus it's so light and thin that carrying it clipped in the pocket all day is easy. Here is a pic of it with the other crap that goes with me every time I leave the house.

Surefire E1L
Keys w/ Artifact
Benchmade Pen
S&W 642
Small Sebenza

A Charge Ti and a SuperTool get rotated in the mix as well.
