Day 30
Used blade to cut the wife's conditioner and shampoo bottle so we could extract the rest before disposing it.

Used scissors to trim the frayed parts of the dog leashes. They will have to be replaced eventually, but should still last a while. I started with the Spirit scissors, which worked fine, but got dedicated scissors pretty quickly. The small cutting surface of MT scissors would have lengthened the time needed to finish this considerably.

Thanks Barry for hosting this challenge, always a pleasure

People here know the Spirit is my favorite, and that has not changed one bit. Easiest challenge ever  :D

Thanks all for participating, see you in the next challenge!

Day 30
It has been a fun challenge and so many great uses from everyone.

This month has just confirmed how much I love mySpirit.  It has so,e great tools to accomplish most tasks I would want in a nice sleek package.  I’ve concluded that the MXBS is still my favorite and will continued to be my most carried.  Yes, the saw is missing, but I do like the belt cutter blade.

Day 31/31

Last day, wow so quick. Must mean I'm now another month older  :D

This has been a fun month. It was the first time I did not carry a Leatherman for an extended period of time. The last few days was getting long, I longed to carry my Charge again.

I have a full size SwissTool and carry it from time to time, but for my daily use it is a bit of an overkill. When we go down to the farm I usually use it then where a full size multi gets a decent workout. The Spirit is a better carry for my use and this month really sold me on it. There was nothing it could not do, a few tasks where a dedicated tool was called for. But that is not the tools fault. That is what I enjoy of the challenges. We get a sense of what it can do and where the short comings are. I really love the blade. I use it everyday to cut food and Victorinox blades rock!!! Period!!! Leatherman ones are good, but they tend to be slightly thicker. Both can be sharpened to scalpel sharpness and they keep it for a while. During this month I only touched the blade once, and it will still shave my arm hear. I never got to use the file or the saw. Both are good quality. If I have to pick a file, Leatherman diamond file win hands down. I like the slim pouch, it sits close to the body and with the lightness of the tool I don't notice it at all. The pliers worked very well when I used it, I once needed the needle nose bit, but managed with the bigger one. And I can squeeze hard, with no hot spots in my hands.
If there is one thing I learned is that this banana handled tool is tops. I like it and will use it for a loooooong time.

Thank you Barry for the hosting it, and all the other members commenting and sharing there month long journey. My wife and kids thought I'm not well taking pics of coffee and snacks to post it online.  :D

Cheers, Pete

Thanks everyone!  I found that, with the exception of the ruler, there is nothing that the Swisstool can do that the Spirit can't.  It's a tough tool that packs a punch way above it's size.

:like: :iagree: and once again thanks for the challenge  :salute: :drink:

Awlso, a question; I had to use two versions, one for work and one for home (as discussed prior to the start)

Should I apply for the SwissTool or Spirit badge?  :dunno:

I used the Spirit more, as it was a quiet month at work, but it was a "SwissTool" challenge

You is 'da boss' here so your thoughts and guidance are requested  :salute:

DAY 31 (Bonus Pic')

Just in case I'd missed a day (don't think so ) Here's the Spirit helping the O/G Crunch top up the boiler pressure (again)

I actually managed another use of the SwissTool Rescue Blade (work carry) as I needed the curved blade to help remove a zip-tie from a passengers bag. The TSA had opened her bag and then used a zip-tie (cable-tie this side of the pond) to secure it. They had left their calling card with a TSA approved lock inside her case.

I advised her that US hold luggage really should have TSA compliant locks or run the risk of the same again.

I didn't take a picture as she was quite upset (and it's not professional to so whilst dealing with the public )

Wishing those taking part; awl the best for the Favourite Four Layer Challenge https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,89281.0.html  :salute:

I'd do it but I already have the FX badge and it's the only four layer I have, so far  ;)

Cheers once again Barry and stay safe awl  :salute:

Honestly, it's up to you Surge, but I'd apply for the one you used the most.  Swisstool was used generically here.  Great job and nice combination you have there!
Stay safe mate!

Day 31

I must admit this has been a bit of a struggle , I’m a huge fan of the Swisstool but for some reason this month I’ve been presented with very little opportunity to actually put it to good use. I have however really enjoyed taking part and will leave you with this photo I took at work of my Swisstool trying to pinch a rainbow

Looking great everyone!  Dunc, that's exactly my luck with challenges.  I'll use tool x every day for years until I'm in a challenge, then suddenly I can't find a use to save me

Great job everyone!

Thank you Barry for organising a great Challenge.  :hatsoff:

Some great posts. I'll admit I don't need to carry a SwissTool day to day  but it was nevertheless  fun to remind myself what an excellent tool it is. Thanks everyone for your company !

Thank you! I am on vacation... did we have to post a pic on 5/31 or was that optional? I have been without internet or cell connection for a few days. Thanks!
