I wonder if any spammers log back in to see what response/s (if any) their post got ?

Another forum (about VW vans) I used to frequent had annoying spammers trying to sell kitchens all the time, so the owner of the forum put in a filter that changed "kitchen" to "dildo".  It was amusing to all those in the know, but did confuse the people with camper vans that wanted to talk about the kitchens in their vans (until they were educated about what was happening and why).

We have the same thing here with smurf....  :D

In the old days I used to let the spammers go without a ban at first to see if they came back.  They often did and spammed again.

Eventually I got bored of the game and just banned them, but it was fun for a while.

Of course, at one point we had so many spammers we actually started a spam forum, deleted links, moved the spam threads there and let members make fun of them.

Ah the good old days... :D

I'll eat Spam sandwiches much more frequently than that! This has also served as a good reminder for me to crack open a can, slice up the contents, and see how well it does in the air fryer.
