Powernoodle Day 29

While mowing the grass at a rental house, I encountered a bunch of weeds that were too thick and fibrous for the string trimmer.  I used the Spartan's serrated edge like a machete, and it worked great.

Yeah, and I love the serrated edge on this one.  A serrated Explorer Plus - my usual carry -would be awesome.   :salute:

Day 29. A Walnut Spartan isn't a lot of help lubricating a bike chain but never mind it's the thought that counts.

Without the girls today I got to relax a bit.   I'm coming to realize that  I'm way too old to keep up with a 8 month and a 2 and 3 year old girls.  Ended my day with a couple of fabulous South Carolina peaches.

Day 29

Another long hot day in the car as we returned home from the in-laws house. No uses today until….

Another Spartan!

This one is a 90s era SAK that I won on eBay for $5.99! It needs a bath but otherwise has good snap, etc.

Generally true. But many of mine are not users, either because they're unusual and/or they have print that I don't want to see worn off.

You done good! :tu:

Day 29

Edge retention testing was in order. The master blade has held up well, and the secondary blade will shave.

Day 30.

Changed air filter.

Also used the blade to open a pack of crackers, but that didn't sync to my PC.

My brain is fried from staying up late doing housekeeping that should've been done a week ago, so summary tomorrow.

Day 30: It's been a lot of fun everyone!  Every time I edc the Spartan, I find that it covers most of my EDC needs with little issue.  I got started on SAKs because of the scissor.  I'm left handed and the Vic scissors were so much better than what you could find in the early 80s for left handed scissors.  I have usually carried accordingly.  The funny thing is, I didn't need scissors once during this challenge, at least not anything that the small blade couldn't cover.  The same goes for a saw.  The Spartan, like the Classic, gets the job done with little glamour or glory.  For the price, I think you'd have a hard time topping this knife.  I learned during the last 30 days that it actually excels in the kitchen.  I have a friend who keeps a Tinker on his kitchen counter, its sole duty to open cans.  The nice thing about a Spartan is that it will not only do that, but also pull a cork too!  Thanks for making this so much fun and see you all on Spartan Saturday!

I will check on the badge.

With all the grandkids scheduled to be dropped off here, this afternoon 🥺, this will most certainly be the only time I'll have to get it out. Now, the Boss Lady gets to experience the whole experience. 😆
