Powernoodle Day 4

While I prefer a serrated bread knife for slicing bread, the Explorer's main blade handled it pretty well.

We're having a great mint crop this year!

That stuff grows like krazy under the right conditions.  Mint juleps are all the rage around here in early May each year, but I would just rather chew on a mint leaf.

DAY 04

Day off of work means cooking day. Ran out and purchased a pork shoulder and cut it up using this trusty Huntsman. De boned, trimmed, cut limes, lemons, jalapeno, and onion to marinate before a slow roast in the oven.

Carnita tacos tomorrow :-)

Day 4, nothing special for the SAK today. We’re staying in Brussels this weekend and while we were in town, the SAK spent the day on the nightstand in the hotel room.

I tried a mint julep once.  It was after I watched this old movie with my Dad and everyone was drinking mint juleps.  I figured I’d order one to try.  I wasn’t a fan.  But some fresh mint in a Mojito and that is a whole different story.

I'm more of a hoarder of all SAKs, MTs, knives, firearms and Maxpedition bags.  But yes, the Explorer Plus is my favorite SAK.

Yeah I would rather have the mint julep ingredients separately:

1) bourbon
2) water
3) sugar
4) mint leaves

And then maybe jump up and down to mix it in my stomach.

Emerald Explorers are not readily available.  Did you add your own scales to that one?  I thought I had one of those but can't find it, so its possible I was dreaming.

Yes, this was a rehab job.

Emerald plus-scales added to a nice, old, Explorer. I love it.  :tu:

Not a huge SAK use day. Cuts some tags off of new clothing. That was about it.

Day 4
The Mountain Yeoman cut a piece of a firestick to use for getting the twig stove going.  It also cut a bag of chips down and opened some cheese sticks.
