DAY 27

The Huntsman started the day with the cheese and that main blade. Received a package and used that Awl/Punch to open it. Really never used the awl much but lately find it a great blade saver. Ale opened with the cap lifter for dinner.

When there's a need these knives fill them.

DAY 27
The in-line Phillips driver on the Explorer tightened a loose screw on a yellow bench in the garden while it was raining- no action shot - however the SAK did see its first real precipitation.  :ahhh

I really like the inline phillips.

The Mtn Yeoman cut open a popsicle, which is an almost daily task.  It also opened a bag of green beans for a snack.

SteveP - Day 27

I used the work Explorer's small blade to cut open more boxes (it really needs a cleaning now) and the inline Phillips to assemble another display.

No use of the home Explorer today.   :(

DAY 28

A good day was had by myself and the Huntsman. Large blade cubed my cheese like usual. That Awl was used to freshen up my fingernails.
Small blade cut a few strings off of a Brunton compass that arrived yesterday.
Cap lifter to the end of the hot day refreshment.

Huntsman's 2 layers deployed for service.

The Mtn Yeoman helped with some yard work.  The file cleaned so,e grass from the vents and bottom of the weedeater, and the blade cut a vine and string. The scissors then cut open some granola for a snack.

SteveP - Day 28

A bit of a repeat of yesterday - nothing for the home Explorer to do and assembled some displays with the work Explorer.

As an experiment I tried the can opener tip for the Phillips screws on the displays. I've never bothered with that before as I always carry a 91mm with the inline Phillips/mag glass layer. It worked just fine. But it would be a problem if the screw head was recessed in a hole.

I'm also used to sliding my hex bit coupler over the inline Phillips to use any hex bit. And that won't work with the can opener.   :(

DAY 28

more fun with the firebox stove🔥
Used the Explorer big blade to cut up a few shavings and tinder
Earlier in the day used the Explorer small blade to cut some cordage. The Phillips driver to tighten a loose screw on a door hinge. The MacGyver tool (can opener) to install some switch plate covers at a friends house. Then I used the MacGyver tool again to pull up a small bent over finish nail. Used the pin in the Explorer plus scales to pop out a Sim card to switch over to a new phone. Lastly I used the mag glass to check out a cool beetle crawling around on a clover ☘️
Great pictures and uses to awl!
:salute:  :salute:

DAY 29

My contestant for the 30 Day Spartan Midsummer Challenge arrived a day early. I can't remember the last time I had a brand new Victorinox. Wow them blades be snappy and those scales are clean and no scratches. I am a little scared of this serrated blade as with it being sharp and that back spring snap, fear for my fingers in July.

Huntsman to the rescue and small blade made quick work of the clamshell pack.
