Day 7

Nice to see everyone hopping in, I was getting a little lonely. Since everyone else is starting a knife, I figured tomorrow was a good time to switch mine. I'll be going to this 90s/00s ecoline Huntsman. Love the feel of the nylon scales, will continue to miss my pin and pen. I'm probably going to wind up buying a Huntsman Plus before this is over.

The Deluxe Tinker is a favorite with me. Fishing usually sees me sporting a DT or Handyman....or Swisschamp....
Change the Handyman to Craftsman or the Swisschamp and I'm exactly the same buddy.  Those pliers were made for hook removals and crimping lead weights.

Day 1

Coco being not particularly interested, nothing new there then!

Huntsman I’ll mainly be using this challenge, picked up very cheap on fleabay as had broken scales, no scissor spring and needed a clean. So after a good clean, sharpen, spring and plus scales added, good as new(ish)

DAY 1  :woohoo:

Starting off old school with the Huntsman.  Using the saw blade for scale in pics of Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars.  They've been munching the dill plant, and it's about time to form a chrysalis.

DAY 01

And away we go. used that saw this morning to scratch a spot on my back I couldn't reach. Backside of the saw, not the teeth side ;-)

So as you can see I rolled a Huntsman for this challenge. Guess it's an older one with no parcel hook.

Day 1

Walked the dogs in the morning and played around with the magnifying glass. You might get to see lots of these pictures  :D

Later I removed a thread off my workout vest. Did the Murph today. I will be sore all over tomorrow  :ahhh

Had to brush the dogs. Blade opened a treat after. I tried to use the can opener to remove the hair from the brushes, but that did not work well. MP600 helped out with the saw. I can tell already that I will miss the saw

Day 1
I decided on the Explorer for this challenge, because the magnifying glass will see more use at the office than the Huntsman’s saw.

I used the mag glass to decipher small print on poor-quality scanned drawings today.

Question: we have to stick with one model all month in order to get the badge for that model, correct? No switching between four-layer models?
Current SAKs: Explorer, SwissChamp, Handyman (modded), Climber, Super Tinker, Tinker, Woodsman (modded), Electrician, Pioneer, SwissTool
Current Leatherman tools: PST, Original Wave, Wave, Wave+, Blast, Bond, Curl, Style PS, Micra

You are correct.  I like the dark green scales.

Sonoran Desert Dweller
What a dope.

I had this confused with a Mountaineer I had snagged a month later. It was kissing the chisel I guess making it earlier version.

Feeling like Homer Simpson

DAY 01Carrying the Explorer Plus out in the wilds today. Did some metal detecting- looked at some old coins, plants and bugs with the mag glass. Decided to put my travel hammock up- kick back and enjoy the view of the secluded forest. After a snack- a smoke and a brief snooze I packed up but first used the corkscrew to help untie the knots on the rope for the hammock.

Heading home- Explorer in my pocket.

Day 1

My wife says that she wholeheartedly approves of this challenge, if it means I’ll use my FX to finally fix a few things around the house.

I swear that there is a tiny gnome in my house, half unscrewing they dresser drawer knobs on a weekly basis.

Day 8

First day with the Excoline. Definitely like the feel in hand better than the wood. The scissors trimmed some loose threads.

I’m planning on carrying this Huntsman with RGT micarta scales as my primary, if not only, knife for this challenge…
