A little reminiscent of older Gerber tools.

I'm a little surprised that they would call it sailor without a marlin spike or anything sailing-related. Maybe it's the bluish color?

 :like:

I know that Nextool is not on the same quality level as Leatherman, Gerber, and Victorinox,  But just looking at it...  That's a nice looking multi tool!  The light blue scales look fantastic.

Based on the pictures, I like the blade, the wood saw looks ok, and I like the slightly smaller serrated blade.  The Philips driver looks very strong and the awl/bottle opener looks like both would work well.

Someone already mentioned this, but I was also hoping for a marlin spike and maybe a shackle key...   When I first saw that file, it looked like they were just aiming to put a small finger nail file with a picking tool at the end but I guess that strange thing is meant to be a proper file???

The file looks like the one on the Gerber Strata.

Here is a Spanish language video review:

First of all, I am glad it is a departure from the common design of NexTool MTs, with the pliers and massive scissors.
The tool looks great. It could very easily have a "Gerber" logo and you would not think twice about it. Though it has Gerber elements that help with that.

A big surprise was seeing that the tools are locked when closed. I don't think I've seen that on anything else. Though I am sure that if I carried this for any length of time, I'd get used to it but wish it was not a feature.

I like the tool selection. The square Phillips looks like a beast, and the blade and saw are nice and long. I see that the thumb-stud is in the slicing path a little.
The pliers look very nice, though the riveted wire-cutters are so 2010. Even off-brand tools are transitioning to removable wire-cutters. They also overlap and obstruct a few plier teeth. Maybe a little more handle splay than I'd like.
The reamer looks great. I appreciate the unique design, and proper sharpened edges.
I do not mind small scissors of large tools, as long as they perform well. There is a thumb-pad on these, and they look ok. Maybe a little too deep to deploy easily.
I think he said that it is called the "Sailor Pro" because of the "marlin spike" on the file? Ok. Not enough to warrant the name, but it is what it is.

So, I now have a choice. I can wait and see if it is good, by watching other people's videos and posts, and then get it, or I can order it now, and see for myself, and possibly risk disappointment due to appalling quality.

More of a semi-copy of the Gerber Strata than anything else. Weird how they call it the "Salior Pro" and there's no boating-specific tools. The only thing even close to being mariner-specific is the semi-sheepsfoot blade.

There's now a Mini Sailor too. The tool selection seems interesting although on a keychain tool I'd like a nail file. The justification for the Sailor name is, well,  :dunno:

I wonder if they are the OEM for the Gerber Vise and Clutch series of tools; there are a lot of part similarities.
