Before anyone changes try dark mode, the print is easier to read. There isn't any duplicate photos on the ones my phone actually shows (happens on all sites) .
Trying to figure out where people are switching modes around and where dark mode is to begin with. I think this new one would look nice in a dark mode.
I have to log in every time now. This website is starting to become tedious....
Top of main page there is a moon symbol. Click on it for dark mode.
The person with a + symbol at the top is the recent unread threads
Note, the main point of changing the default is spambots trying to abuse shelf life flaws, causing massive error logs, but no actual damage. We are being hit pretty hard the past week or two with our weekly average number of spambots hitting us daily. As mentioned, I didn't remove shelf life as I knew many of you would not like the change, but I do hope more of you will stick it out as it really is great on mobile devices.Yes there is a bit of a learning curve, but most features are still there... Maybe just a little more compact. Most of the icons are standard used on many apps already, so should be familiar.
Dark mode made it tolerable, except that on a PC the font within posts was smaller. Quotes shown in a post had very small font. If that can be changed within the layout, I'd use the new layout. If I have to zoom with my browser every time I check in, I'm staying with shelf life.
Also, sunrise has a one button dark mode... that makes it totally worth it in my books.
Thanks for the info, Adam. Think I've about got it sourced out. All I had to do was to re add the page in my bookmarks, still it only takes me to the tool talk page where I have to select "general tool discussion". I only wish that it would show the un-read topics only. I'm having a terrible time trying to distinguish between what's been read and what hasn't.
Nix, if you're having to log in every time try clearing your cache and cookies, you'll have to log in again, but hopefully it'll keep you logged in then.BEWARE you'll probably have to sign into every site on that device once after you do this.
Inside sources say that MTO's Dark Mode was the inspiration for the name of Leatherman's latest Garage offering.
