I purchased a Volty bit back in March and it has been extremely useful so I thought I would share.
The Volty bit by PC Poodle is about the size of a Leatherman bit and was made to fit the bit holder and bit sheath. It is a voltage tester that uses a Leatherman tool as a conductor. The Volty bit touches the positive while another part of the Leatherman (flat driver is what I use) touches the negative. As long as what you are testing is DC and between 2.5 and 30 bolts, you will get an accurate reading.
I have used this for my 18650 batteries as well as a couple car batteries and so far, it has been very accurate. You can probably find some YouTube videos on it--that is how I found out about it.
To give a brief overview of how something that small can give an accurate voltage, it flashes a number of times in different colors to give the voltage. Green = 10, yellow = 1, red = .1. So a flash of 1 green, two yellow and 6 red would be 12.6 volts. Also, yellow is just red and green flashing together which looks yellow at a certain angle but otherwise looks green/red.
Check it out. I think you will find it as useful as I do if you have any lithium ion batteries or help friends with their cars too often.
