New Classic SD Colors in 91mm
on: August 05, 2022, 03:59:35 PM
So yesterday victorinox north America had a poll on intsagram asking if we would want more color options in the 91mm series. I for one really would love more colors choices. I drive my self nuts looking for rare colors in the 91mm that you just can't find anymore or are just priced ridiculous high for me.

● Do you think vic well release more colors for the 91mm?
●And what colors do you want to see?

I could see a few more colors becoming standard options in the 91mm range. But what I want is Hunter Green available on basically everything!

try here SwissTool.co.uk. it's not every knife but it's a lot. And that color is easily found and swappable

Oh nice! Is shipping to the US expensive?

I hope they will, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd love to see original sapphire make a comeback. And while I'm wishing in one hand, I'd awlso love to see them slap the pretty Alox colors all over 84mm and 93mm models.

Is the original sapphire the light blue one that is like sky blue color, or what is different then between the current sapphire?

Original sapphire is a very dark blue. I spent a few hours convinced that my one example was black. Hopefully my photo will show the color okay.

I'd prefer they just sold the scales, but not for ridiculous prices.

I’d love some of the different alox colors on 93mm and not just the pioneer.  I was stoked with the LE Pioneer X orange, but the gray mot so much.  Some nice shades of teal or purple would be awesome.

This would be awesome, but unfortunately don’t see happening because the profit margin wouldn’t be their.  At the same time, I think it might make money if they sold just the scales of some of their specialty scales or different exclusives that are normal just on tinkers.  As long as the scales were marked below tinker price, they would probably sell and make a profit.

Then again, I’m the one that thinks Vic should offer a “build your own SAK” option where you could choose the layers you wanted.  Even with a custom fee and so much per layer, I think they would get a lot of buyers.

Agreed on both reducing the cost of scales and allowing one to build the SAK of one's choosing.

I think scales in general need to be sold through the Vic website and normal retail channels. It would mean less warranty work needed, and you don't have to track down sellers out of the country and pay massive shipping charges for small parts. I've got a large number with damaged scales, and other than that, there's no real problem (including a Recruit bought new, and dropped 2 days after I bought it on tile).
