First, I have no idea what that piece in a display case and documentation would be best valued or appraised at.

Sometimes the story behind your piece is of added value.

Why did you receive such a piece?

Were you a dealer or distributor that helped to support the LTG in it early stages?
Or, did you acquire via liquidation sale of a dealer or distributor who folded due to the changing times?
Or, were you part of LTG during the first years of development?

The story is important!  The tie in adds value, or could add value.

To me it is pretty, but useless as it is not useable.

Maybe someone with more knowledge on this display sample can visit and offer you insight to your question.

Now if it was a 10th Anniversary MTo Leatherman, it would really be worth something!!!  I am still searching for one!!😜🙄
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

That is an excellent piece you have and very rare  :salute:

I am.not sure about price as I have seen these go for crazy money and some for not so crazy money :ahhh

Yours looks to be in very great shape, has the certificate of authenticity and the plaque :woohoo: So it should bring better money but it will only bring as much as someone is willing to pay for it :salute:

I would definitely love one of these but financially could never swing the money for something that expensive  :ahhh

I do hope you can find a good buyer and you both come out well in the trade or transaction :salute:

Also, welcome to :MTO:

A couple years ago, there was an auction for a 10th PST + 25th sterling Charge + another (25th Wave?) by a former LMT employee. Someone here won that for a bit over $2.2k.

$5k is just silly asking, but then why not?  :dunno: There are fools paying millions for jpegs of apes.

Is $5000 silly?  Yes.  Is a situation where you are taking anything less than $1000 also silly?  Yes. For $999.99 it would be staying in my safe. If it were me I would realistically be shooting for $1,500.  Maybe a little more.
