Start a new thread with photos of your carabiners in use

Here are two different types of carabiners I use. The first one is on my bunker gear, carrying my breathing apparatus and gloves. This is just a regular type carabiner with the strength up to 12kN. Additionally I use it to attach an IR camera or whatever other tool is needed for the job.

The second one is a grimloc carabiner I use on my LBV for my gloves and/or helmet.

On a side note, since this is MTO: The Skeletool RX is my go-to multitool for the first set of equipment. For the second set I carry the Signal Topo, but I have been looking into the ST300M. This is why you can never have too many multitools laying around.

Thank you Stitchy! :hatsoff:

Absolutely! I did concider hooking them on, but they ended up blocking the picture. For the Skele i use it all the time, such a great option to have.

I rarely use it for the Signal though, since the LM Molle sheath is conveniently placed on my chest. But the hammer below that carabiner is excellent!

Congrats on the badge  :salute:  I wanted to switch to those European helmets, but the resistance to change in the US fire service is strong.

It is indeed OHT, the FPS7000

Thanks Fireman! :hatsoff: That is a really interesting topic. I have heard about the strong traditions in the US. The helmet in the picture is the MSA F1SF, a common but sort of outdated helmet in terms of EU tech.

How's this for outdated?   That's my original issue Cairns 660 from the mid-1980s.   That's exactly how it looked the day I was issued a leather helmet (which I disliked).

I get where you're going. It sure looks amazing though! :o

Here's a better view of mine. Attachable headlamp and mask, with helmet integrated comms and visors (eyes or full face heatshield)

Congrats.

Carabiners are so useful, especially with the varying size and shapes.
