Gerber Center Drive and Dual Force pivot adjustments
on: August 22, 2022, 12:03:24 AM
As the title states, I am interested in a way of adjusting the pivots on these two tools. I just got a Dual Force, and they are too tight, and my Center Drive on one side is too loose. This obviously takes some sort of specialized tool or bit that can be used on a driver.  Are things like this readily available? If not, have any of you been able to do adjusting on these tools some other way? Any ideas would be appreciated!

If it is for the tools' pivot, you may try making them as the only resource for them that I knew was from loki and, sadly, he is unable to ship ATM.

Here's what I did for the pivots on my MP600, which are the same principle,

Others have taken an old MP600/400 chassis/handle, had cut out the sides that keeps the captive end of the pivot and used them as wrenches.
If not feasible, you might want to place an ad in "the tools wanted" section and see if a forumer might have some.
Hope this helps.

I've used blunt nosed pliers for Gerber MPs before. Engineer or vampliers should work as well.
