It's just one more tool; to check angles, of course. If you don't need it, it's not in the way.And yes, protractor on a Swisscard means "generation 2". The first generation didn't have one. Generation 3, the Swisscard Classic, lost the revolving door for a cutout dimple. Better stability, less moving parts.Hth.

SAKtember Day 10I generally like the red cellidor scales that Victorinox makes, but now and again some custom scales catch my eye. These wooden scales are on a Huntsman, I liked them immediately. Going to carry this today.
