Hercules without a saw

Hey there
Does anyone know if it would be possible to remove the saw from a Hercules - it doesn't seem like there's a full liner between the saw and scissors/Philips layer, that's what raises my doubt

Looking at my Hercules, removing the saw layer would also mean losing the corkscrew on the back. If you did that, the outer liner under the scale would be next to the scissors.

If it’s a liner lock hercules you would want to replace the outside liner with one that doesn’t have a corkscrew/phillips cutout and also a solid back scale.

As far as I’m aware the saw and regular main blade are interchangeable on their respective backspring so I think you could put the blade on the saw’s spring and change the order of the tools (not sure if the scissor would block the nail nick to open the blade if you did that)
