Quark Tool quarktool designed in U S of A

I caht believe dis forum , my fave keychain tool hasn't been given proper credit after all deez nuts? I had pseudo-reviewed it on BF and use it all the time, it has to be the compactest razor blade holder on the market. Here some random pix, as you could imagine it is a powerful cutting tool to have on one's bunch of keys:

My favorite utility blade is the STANLEY #5192 which is also made in gemani by Solingen:

It's easy to polish the bevel of the blade to mirror finish:

I would say that the tool is an improved version of the popular Screwpop Tool, however without a bottle opener (cap lifter):

The unbranded AX unit has beautiful looks on its own and costs only 5$ shipped iirc:

For a dude, imho there caht be a better gift at this price point. And btw the original quality from quarktoolDOTcom website is suitable/perfect for one-handed deployment (one-handed retraction is harder). It's the coolest thing to have on your keychain (again: one-handed deployment!!), believe me. The blade is absolutely secure in the holder (because you squeeze it), free of play, and always sharp (5192). More powerful (and safer) than a SAK blade (say the Vinox Minichamp), e.g. for cutting packaging plastics:

That is such a simple design.  I like it.  If I buy one, I'm not sure it would replace my Gerber EAB but I like how tiny it is.

Note that the "inner loop" of the unbranded AX unit has dirty-looking (=coarse unfinished) edges. They scream at you to get smoothened with a ceramic round file and/or a piece of sandpaper. So only in this regard, they're not suitable as OOTB gift:

Also, the AX unit is not suitable for 1-handed operation because the internal construction doesn't seem as optimized as the branded unit:

Lemme add a photo of the finished edges?

hehe  :D

okok, with 1 hand holding the bottle, it is easy to open the bottle in a single motion (zisch plopp), with normal deformation of the cap for the zisch part. For better visualization of the touching edges, i painted the cap with a blue marker:

With the blue paint removed, the touching edges and deformation is still visible:

It definitely looks like a nice lightweight blade  :like:

Great test of the bottle opener as well, kreisler :salute: :like:
