Stocking Stuffer Multitool
on: September 21, 2022, 06:39:01 PM
For Christmas, my wife's family does a "stocking" (usually a reusable grocery bag) for everyone. The budget is supposed to be a buck a person, which obviously makes finding any kind of decent multitool a challenge. I figured if anyone would have any good ideas for a real budget tool that was real cheap too it was you guys. Anyone got a go to bottom dollar tool that a whole family could appreciate? The dollar isn't a hard limit, but bonus points if anyone can get there.

Ok, it's over a buck, but you can blame the supply chain economy for the price increase.
Gotta buy a box of 36, so depending on the size of the family you may have a surplus.

Nope, I haven't tried one, I've spent most of my money there buying paracord and 4 in 1 keyring screwdrivers.

Paracord and 4-way drivers are probably a better investment. 36 is too many, but I'm sure I could pass them out at work or something. Good find!

Here’s something in my shopping cart:
https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.5XuNY

It’s a Swiss Card knock off from China.

It’ll probably cost USD2.00? Give or take depending on exchange rates.

There’s probably more out there like the ‘Wallet Ninja’  or KO of the Gerber Shard….just lemme see what’s visible on my side of the globe.

I was given something similar and it's in an Altoids tin somewhere.   It's main attributes are that it's flat and it meets your price.

Only 4 colors of paracord but I only get the black.  Best part of the deal is the winders.   I have to say that the only reason that I had the rope was that they also came with winder's.

Check out paracord winders on eBay then rush out and buy a bunch from the dollar store.

The screwdrivers are kinda neat. They fit the bits from my Harbor Freight sets, so I can customize what bits are in each one.

Those drivers are spiffy. I may have to make a dollar store run tomorrow.

They made a nice compliment to these from Harbor Freight.

Can't remember what other set has the same sized bits, but I keep one with torx bits for knife maintenance.
