DIY jaw repair for all lobe jawed tools

The Wave is a fine example of needing repair.
"Handle slop" cant be fixed. Its a bad jaw lobe.
" A high lobe spot" can be gently filed probably using a motor tool with a medium Grit bit..
Jaw stick at cutter can be filed-1 direction filing.gently scrape backside burr off. Be careful not to use on large hard wire next time...
Loose jaw can be tapped with a center punch closest to the edge on the rotating side only. This is risky. A  sloppy jaw is a well used tool. 😁
A misalighned handle can be torqued on but it will cause component tension loosening. Misaligned tool is from a  handle flaw during Manufacturing and needs to be replaced. Components can be bent slightly but they will break and it is most likely you will have to retention the screw.
