The Surprise Box reached my humble home Saturday afternoon.  Of course today I was out from 6 AM to 8 PM and I was too tired when I got home to really go through it.  A cursory examination revealed some items of interest.  I work the same hours on Sunday so you're all going to have to wait until Monday for a full report.  I have a few items I can add before the box goes on to Loop Cutter.  It should be ready to go by Tuesday.

I chose a few items from the box.  I was like a kid with a stack of trading cards.  "Need it, got it, got 3 of those, need it, got it."  Common sense eventually took over and I put most of the items back into the box.

Remembering, as the great George Carlin used to say,  "You can't have everything.  Where would you put it?"  I had to seal the box before I was tempted by anything else.  Of course I added a few things before I sealed the new, smaller yet somehow heavier box. It will be on its way to LoopCutter as soon as I can get to the post office.

I kept a Spyderco knife but not sure the model, a Schrade hawk's bill electrician, an Imperial sod buster, a Gerber Shortcut, and then, because I needed it to cut the tape on the box, I decided to keep the WorkPro folding box cutter.  The box, with some new items I added, is already in LoopCutter's city according to USPS tracking so he should have it Friday or Saturday.

It arrived late this afternoon, no notification from USPS😔.  Driver left box on the front porch, sitting on the bench totally exposed to the weather.   Found it while picking up siding from second story section that was ripped off by high winds.  Very high winds!!!

Box is soaking wet, see if it will dry, otherwise replacement will be required. Had good tape on top and bottom.  Contents all intact and dry. Will take closer look tonight or Saturday.

Insides was dry, and it was packed properly, with majority of items in bubble wrap or grouped in bags.

The cardboard box survived, minor dimpling on one side corner.

The box is repacked, yet open in case I decide to inspect the contents again. 🙄

Attached is what I removed,
 

Gerber box cutter, a couple dangles😜, some small S-Hooks, two lanyard lines, short and long, a Small Schrade Stockman, small AAA flashlight, and my grandson (another one) pondered between two MT tools for a few hours before selecting the bolster w/sheath.

Items added to supplement and keep box in balance for next trip.

Awaiting instructions,,,
