Classic SD with "The cutting edge." on scale

Wondering if anyone knows where the tagline on this Classic SD comes from?

I've had one for at least 20 years and just picked up a second on eBay last month, though it's also old-ish as the box is aged.

Seems I ran across something that suggested it was a slogan for Victorinox at one point? But the source wasn't very conclusive.

It was the name of a movie that came out in 1992.  It’s also one those faux clever names sometimes seen on barbershops or salons.  In either of those cases, though, I would have thought it would be “The Cutting Edge”, not “The cutting edge.”
