Been planing my trip to the alps this year.
Guess what, it will involve snow, ice and high altitute.
I think I'd prefer the Alps in summertime...

The Eldris is on the bigger/heavier side for neck knives though.
I didn't find mine too heavy for neck carry, but the handle is definitely bulky. The Izula II is doing pretty well in the neck knife role so far.

Day 18

I'll need to check to be 100% sure, but I believe I have everything I'd need to remove and replace ESEE handles. Now I just gotta get the stuff I'd need to make handles.

Day 17 (Milk Duds Round):

With these injuries and illnesses, do we need to rename this the Aspirin Round?

An apple a day.....

Thanks all for the well wishes.  Tomorrow I should find out how bad it is, hoping for the best, but not very confident.

Day 17
The wife picked out a knife from my drawer of frequent users.  So the Cripple Creek Jack will be my knife going forward.

Today it opened a box
(Image removed from quote.)

Always nice to see the Cripple Creek  :like:

Day 18

The OPT forum has really been busy lately, and my wife and dad both love their Night Izeses?, so I decided to get myself one. If nothing else I prefer the 'biner to a traditional keyring. Eldris opened the package from Amazon.

Posting a lot later than usual, I tried using the blade to cut/pry this sucker button battery out, but turns out the scissors is safer and more effective.

It is a heavily traveled spot so I doubt it is still there.  Plus I don’t think I’m going to walking for at least a few days depending on what the doctor says tomorrow.  I injured my foot.
Sorry to hear about that, hope it will heal soon and all would be fine.

Long time ago I sprained an ankle while hiking, and it literally took me months to heal.  Looking back, I should have taken the time to tape it up tight before trying to hop/drag myself out.  Luckily, it was a really short hike and I had hiking poles with me, so that really does help with the situation.

Love the Spirit.  The scissors are awesome, but sometimes I also like to see if other tools will also work well.

Hi, all!

Good news!  I will be making a magnet to celebrate the second Poker Face challenge!

If you have received a magnet in the past(and your address has not changed), or had given me your address from previous challenge, sit tight and everything will be taken care of.  :D

If you haven't given me an address in the past, and don't mind getting a small free memento for this challenge, please kindly private message me your address.  A free magnet will be mailed to you free of charge once they are made.

I know this may not make sense, but sometimes I can't help but to wonder whether pets would get frostbite if they are walking in the snow barefooted(so to speak)?

When the temps gets down to -17ºC or so I have been limiting her exposure to the cold. And we've got some little booties for her paws. They are a thin nylon and not warm, but they keep snow out and prevent her paws from becoming too cold.
