Sweet magnet, Comis!

Day 19

Continuing to open the mail. I finally found a Tomo cheap enough to snap up (I'm not paying $25 for a glorified classic). I'll admit, this week is dragging a little. Just don't have a lot of use for a fixed blade when I'm not out playing in the woods.

When the temps gets down to -17ºC or so I have been limiting her exposure to the cold. And we've got some little booties for her paws. They are a thin nylon and not warm, but they keep snow out and prevent her paws from becoming too cold.

Wow, -17C, that's quite a tolerance.  :o :tu:

Hi, all!

Since we will be swapping cards on Day 21, and start carrying new(or continue with the old) tools on Day 22.

Please feel free to let me know what card(s) you'd like to keep or swap.  So we would have time to get ready for the second half.

Nix, I'd like to keep my pair of 6, and swap for 3 new cards, please! :hatsoff:

Day 19

Almost one week gone with a fixed and I really struggle. Having an office job I dont carry a fixed openly, too eye catching.
I often just leave it in my bag, leaving me without a blade at all.  :dunno: :ahhh

Will for sure try to add some folding blade in the next draw, if I am lucky.

Though it is not easy to carry, that's a handsome knife. :tu:
Hope you'd draw something that you might like, which cards would you want to swap on Day 21?

Nice!  A pair of Jack is now the best hand thus far!  The spade and diamond will give us a Fixie and SAK to start with.

I'll keep my Jacks and draw three new ones please.

I remembered taking the picture but somehow get it all mixed up, quick apology to Echotech, lucky I wasn't in charge of a diving boat.  Man, that'd be catastrophic, like in Open water.

A high card with Ace of Spade yield us a fixie to start the second half with, a potential flush?

I’ll swap two cards please - the queen and two of clubs and try for a spades flush

Thanks  :tu:

The knife indeed is nice and all, just doesnt fit into my daily work life.

Ill guess I go full risk and just keep the Q and K and switch the 5, 8, 9.
Cant get worse than now and if I dont get a pair, Ill be stuck with the fixy anyway.

Once in a blue moon I have trouble with imgur(an online image hosting service), and I would actually directly attach the photo onto the post.  IIRC, there is limitation on how large the file we could upload, but you could always resize the photo(via any free app on phone) before making the attachment.

I'm in a similar situation, Shuya. I've been trying to carry it "extra" outside of work or find excuses to use it around the house. It's a shame it's not summer, or I'm sure I'd have lots of jobs around camp for it.

Comis, I'll go for the flush.

Keep: 5,A,9
Return: Q,K

The magnet design looks great comis.    As for the cards I think I'll risk a full new deal.  Fortune favors the bold. Right?

ReamerPunch, keeping the Jacks...

Such is fate, Lady Luck seems to be mischievous here, swapping in 5, 10, K...but you got another 10 and K back!
Good try!  No change in the carry for the remaining of the challenge.

2 new cards, you got...Wow...9 of Spades...

So close!  Almost!  Just like RP before you, you swap in the Q and you got a Q back!   High card A of Spades, a fixie will be the carry for the rest of the second half.  :tu:

I can hardly believe this...a new Two Pairs!  Now your cards has just overtaken Nix's Two Pair and is the new reigning hand!  Wow!  Lucky!  :woohoo:

The Two Pairs will enable you to carry any combo from the following 4 tools, on Day 22 and onforward.  Your choice can be any of the 2 fixed blade, 1 pliers-based multitool and 1 SAK.

Wow Two Pairs! :woohoo:   Massive improvement over the last hand, this hand will now enable you to carry and choose from 4 tools from day 22 and onward, any combo of 2 fixed blade, 1 SAK and/or 1 Folder/Traditional Folder.  That's awesome!

What?  Dumping the pair of 8s, and start from ground zero?  Wow...bold move!  :ahhh

Can't believe my eyes!  You dump a pair of 8s and now you get 2 pairs!?   :o :o :o

Get out of here!  That's unreal!

The new two pair will enable you to carry up to 4 tools for the rest of the challenge, and you even get 4 suits!  That's mean, any combo up to 4 tools from the following: 1 fixie, 1 SAK, 1 MT and/or 1 Folder/Trad...

Seriously, strongly suggest to go get lottery today, today is your day!

Just getting this in while it's fresh on my mind: I'd like to keep my pair of fours and discard the rest. My daily photo will come later.
