I don't have any problem with my Brisa Necker 70, but I have the leather with mine.  You could still wear it as a neck knife in handle up position.  I believe they have improved their Kydex sheaths so they are no longer a problem as far as I know. I think the Ivory micarta handled Necker 70 at the link looks awesome. :pok:

One thing to consider is whether you would be OK with the weight; the knife alone weighs about 2.7 ounces, while knife and sheath together weigh just over 4 ounces.
My Izula II weighed in at 3.8 ounces with the sheath. I'm surprised that the G-Necker would be slightly heavier. We'll have to see about that one.

I think the Ivory micarta handled Necker 70 at the link looks awesome. :pok:
Yours looks damn good, too!

One thing I noted about the Brisa is its weight: five ounces. I'd awlmost want to test one about my neck for 15 minutes or so before I pulled the trigger on it. And believe me, when I saw the one with ivory Micarta, I very nearly pre-ordered one.

Pretty sure I have the same Necker 70 as Nate.  I don't think it is that heavy.  At least it feels very light. Will get mine on a digital scale later today.

My post about the weight was referring to the Bradford G-Necker, not the Enzo Brisa 70 Necker.  Sorry for the confusion.  Too many “Neckers” lol

Goodness, so much awesome.

Here is how I set up my Izual sheath.  It was supposed to be a temporary thing but its lasted so I haven't done anything since.  I carry between 1 and 2 o'clock.  I point the handle at 12 so I can retrieve with my left hand.  Its worked great.

I cannot carry it this way outside my home as it would be concealed and a no no.  I carry it at home.

Farmer, here for reference is the weight without sheath of the Izula II which you've been carrying and the Brisa Enzo Necker 70.

Any confusion was caused by me. I neglected to state that the figure of five ounces was gleaned from Knife Center's site.

Goodness, so much awesome.
:iagree:

The horizontal sheath is a cool idea, but it would not work for me unless I tuck my shirt in (which I hate doing). That's one pitfall of having to suffer laws that are poorly written and arbitrary.

Farmer, here for reference is the weight without sheath of the Izula II which you've been carrying and the Brisa Enzo Necker 70.
Thanks! :hatsoff: Of course, this could be bad for me. I'll do a little further research, but if Knife Center overestimated the Brisa's weight, I'm awlmost guaranteed to succumb to the song of that siren known as Ivory Linen Micarta... :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Check the price at DLT Trading too.  They often have various models on sale and I think I only paid $49 for mine a couple of years ago. The Bobtail and the crafter look nice too.

Have you seen the Artisan Cutlery Sea Snake? It looks like a nice piece of kit for $40.00.

The Sea Snake would be a pass. It's just too big to be a legal carry for me.

Same overall length as the Izula II but I see that the blade of the Sea Snake is listed as just a smidge over 3 inches at 3.125.  I don't expect the coppers to check with a micrometer but we don't want to break the law on purpose or by accident if we can just as easily find a legal blade.  My bad.

There's still the Brissa Necker 70 with its 2.5 inch blade.  I know you like the linen ivory Micarta, but DLT has it in Scandi grind, without a handle, for only $22.95.  You can ad your own handle  material, or cord wrap, or leave it as is for that price. https://www.dlttrading.com/brisa-enzo-necker-70-scandi

The Buck Paklite series version 2.0 is back in stock at SMKW and there are two models that have a 2.75 inch blade. :pok:

There are some good options listed and I’ll throw out 2 - White River ATK and Southern Grind Vermin.

Both are 2.25in blade, less than 2oz, Made in USA and $100

Of all the small fix blades I’ve tried, for carrying, the ATK is my favorite.  What sets the ATK apart from some of the others in my opinion is the blade shape and grind make it a real nice slicer.  Despite being the same size blade as the Vermin and smaller than the Izula, it actually performs more on par with the Izula and my Bark River Essential.  Both the ATK and sheath are thin and light so it carried well whether as neck knife or horizontally on belt-line.  The sheath allows the knife to be inserted in either direction which is nice when on the neck.  The only complaint I really have is that it is polished which made the handle a little slick, which was remedied with a gutted paracord wrap.

You showed the ATK before, and I instantly added it to a wish list or two. Sweet-looking handle wrap, too! :like:

I’ve been shocked by how much I love this little knife.

I still want to try the new Buck Paclite, but I’m also not sure it will be better for discreet carry.

I ended up looking at DLT, and the Brisa 70 looks sweet in the birch and blue jean micarta.

The Curly Birch does look nice and I've been eyeballing the Crafter 70 in Aqua Micarta for some time now because it represents the typical Finnish Puukko to me, and it is cheaper than either the TOPS Tanimboca Puukko or the Benchmade 200 Puukko and is smaller than either of them.  I'd be very tempted if I hadn't just bought the LionSteel H1 which blew my knife budget for the foreseeable future.

I know the feeling, I have been looking at a White River Firecraft FC-PKO and a Fiddleback Forge Snowbill, both of which would blow my knife budget.
