NexTool is shaping up to be the Wenger to Leatherman's Victorinox. They'll probably never knock them off the throne, but I appreciate the willingness to try weird stuff.

They'd be better off just making it a ratcheting driver rather than electric, the 230mah battery won't last long.  I'd love to see an IP rating for the screwdriver and charging system to, can't see one though.

First I misunderstood the title.

I thought that with "electric screwdriver" a screwdriver rated for 1000V electric work was meant. This is rather the thing missing in all multitools. Till now I never saw a multitool insulated enough for real elecric work. So I was expecting that somebody had this idea and  at least the screwdriver in the Nextool would be insulated enough. I was wrong. :D
(Or maybe it could be with all the moving parts, but I don't want to try it out.)

It is nice that they try new ideas, but I don't see massive use for an electric bit driver. Do they take new ideas somewhere? Designing a multitool for real electric work would be some interesting idea. Not for real electricians - they always need a proper toolkit for their work. But for people like me which have to work sometimes near live voltage (telephone/network installations near or in electric distribution boxes for example...).
