Very last minute but I've decided to do the 30 SAKS in 30 Days Challenge in December, awl welcome to join in  :pok:

Having just finished the Minichamp challenge I didn't fancy doing the Chuck Yeager again this year, I really need some 91mm and larger SAKs in my pocket this month  :climber:  :woohoo: :tu:

Be great to have some company

Nice shot of Coco (and the Huntsman)  :tu:

I want to get a Huntsman. I like my Super Tinker, but I miss having a saw.

Thanks Adam  :tu:

Huntsman is very close to being my fave SAK, which is actually the FarmerX, so similar tool selection
If I didn’t carry a rambler for the t and t, and could only carry one SAK, it’d likely be the one.
I’ve added plus scales to this one and it lives on the kitchen table so gets used a lot

I awlready have the badge, and running two challenges concurrently is a bit much, but I'll definitely follow along. You're off to a great start! :tu:

Day 3

Yet another fave model today…have to admit I’ve not met a SAK I didn’t like  but this is right up there

And this particular one is extra special as was gifted to me by the scholar and gentleman that is @SurgeUk when we met at Heathrow Airport back in July.     :hatsoff: good Sir :hatsoff:

I’ve not met a SAK I didn’t like...
I can no longer make that claim...but I can say that I've liked every one I've met in person. :D

That Compact is truly a special SAK!

Great shot!

And the pix for the PX collection and Surge's UK SAK are both quite meaningful, this is off to a great start!  :like:

Day 4

Bit of 130mm action today :D

Took the Ranger Wood 55 to some ivy that’s taking over a tree. Has to be one of the best, if not the best saw on any MT

Good plan FX :like:

They used to do a wood scaled Huntsman (and others models) with the T and T but don’t see them anymore, you can still get them without T & T as well as the LE models like this years winter super tinker but not that common. Otherwise I think it might just be the EvoWood models still available :dunno:

The 130mm models don’t get a lot of mentions but I highly recommend the Ranger Wood, in the way you notice the step up from 91mm with the 111mm models, you get the same again….it’s a beast

Day 5

A couple of Alpineers and Sentinel…..handy 1 layer folders, light and capable, make a great companion to MT’s like the butter blade Spirit

:like: Gets expensive being a member of MTO Dan

I know a lot of people say go straight for the Work Champ but the Outrider is as wide and heavy as I'm comfortable with personally
The Mod 08 soldier is too classic not to have in the collection, and I also really like the inexpensive single layer 111's as per above

Appreciate you following along  :hatsoff:

Day 6

Time for some Wenger today, the Matterhorn Plus, 9 layers 85mm

https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Matterhorn+Plus

TBH I find anything over 5 layers a bit unwieldy in use but I've a soft spot for the quirky designs and innovations Wenger brought to the SAK world  :climber:

The universal wrench is oft derided but it works quite well here being in the second layer allowing decent purchase on whatever you're working on. I've not got an Evo S54 to compare it with but apart from missing the pliers, it's very similar
