Leatherman Mut Belt clip

Hello guys! I decided to take the belt clip off of my Leatherman Mut and removed the two Torx screws, spacer, and clip easily. My question is, do those two screws that held the clip in also help keep the tool together? or are they just to hold the belt clip in place… will I be okay just carrying the tool around without the screws back in

I am thinking you should be fine as most clip fasteners for Leatherman don't hold the tool together :cheers: but I have never taken a MUT clip off so hopefully someone will be along shortly to clarify :cheers:

I may move this to the Leatherman sub forum later if you don't get an answer here :facepalm:

Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a LM Pocket Survival Tool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the LM Crunch  Multitool for fifteen (15) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. You have one of your pictures in the 2017 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2018 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days.

Yes you can take off the pocket clip no problem without putting the screws back in.
