The Torch Thread.

I can trace my fascination with torches from my dad, who was a plumber/steamfitter. He had a portable propane bottle with a torch setup in order to do copper pipe work. His rig dated to the 60s and wasn't very portable by today's standards, but I was intrigued by his use of it on those rare occasions when he had to ply his trade at home and allowed me to watch. So although I do not smoke, I am aware of why I have always liked lighters and torches. I seem to like novelty lighters a whole lot, and of course I have a drawer full of regular ones for use in emergencies. These torches on the other end, are a bit larger than lighters. They also offer more utility in the culinary world among other uses, and I cannot help but think my father could have used some of these larger models for smaller jobs in tight confines (mind you, most newer homes now use PEX instead of copper pipes). Anyways, here are the Torches I currently have in my collection.

A pair of lower end Mossy Oak Blaze Torches. The straight one is billed for cigars, and does offer a folding stand.

This one is a bit interesting in that it has 4 nozzles. This model is called a Pro-lite x4 Torch.
