Schrade SCTPT

It took me a while to find this one. Schrade is discontinued it in the past few years. It is a titanium tool, which may not be the best material for a wrench or strap cutter. But it seems like a good tool to me.

Applied Weapons Tech Pocket Pry Tool GEN 2

It is anodized aircraft grade aluminum (or aluminium if that is your preferred spelling/pronunciation), so it will show wear fairly quickly. But it also seems like a useful little tool for when all you have are your fingers.

I like OPT's. I don't really have a need for them or even use them, but I just like them. Kinda like toys for me. Anyhow, here is my meager collection.

This thread has inspired me to go on the hunt for something new.

And by the way, I hope it is ok to revive dead threads here.

Nice little collection! :tu: OPTs are fun, as there is considerable variation in usefulness and quality. And reviving old threads is perfectly okay.

I’m surprised nobody has replied:

“… Yeah, you know me!”

Though, I guess, I must be the only one who is ‘Naughty By Nature’. ;)

Well, I’m really surprised how many OPTs I have. I didn’t think it would be this many.
(They must be like rabbits )

Apart from the nearly identical two tool cards, the first OPT I had was the one I made myself.
It’s the one that looks like a utility blade with a hole in one end.
It’s made from 2mm thick stainless steel, which I used as a package opener, in a previous job.

Next was the Nite Ize Doohickey.

The others are mostly part of my cycling tool kit. Namely, the Park Tool MT-1, the Cyclo Box Spanner, and the ‘2012 Olympics’ Wallet Spanner.

The most recent additions are the EDC Gear Pocket Wrench and the Aliexpress titanium keychain pry bar.

By the way, I’m sure I used to have more but, just like my marbles, I may have lost some?  :dunno:

(I think they may have been the Leatherman Brewser and the OrbitKey Multitools version 1 & 2.)

Thanks  :hatsoff:

It’s quite a cool little tool, with a lot of functions (8-9-10mm spanners, a flat head screwdriver, and 3-4-5-6-8mm hex wrenches.
Most of the common tools you’d need to fix a bike. (Well, except for a chain tool and puncture repair kit. ;) )

I especially like how they’ve combined the 8mm and 9mm spanners into the same hole on the left – one’s in the front, the other is in the back. 8)

P.S. While looking for the other lost souls, I found another OPT I had complete forgotten about.

It’s a trolley key. (For getting a cart at the store, like Aldi. )

My OPTs. Steel Life Axem 4.0 and Leatherman Piranha.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Piranha is part of my EDC bag, i have sharpened few times my Piranha head and cause of that it has rounded bit, also i have broked that rubber thing that holds bit.

First when i got Axem 4.0, i made handle for it where i could use it as axe, saw and short spear, after that it did act as my most expensive ice scraper, then i carried on it on EDC bag until it broked one of my pouches cause i made it too sharp. After that it has stayed on shelf as reminder not to get anymore those kind OPTs.

Hi!  In the case of AXEM.
1.The problem with cutting in a bag or somewhere else appears mainly that it is not in the size of a credit card, i.e. not 55 x 85 mm.
Otherwise it could be easily inserted into the compartment of a purse for money or credit cards and delivered as needed.
2. A card in the form of an axe with an arrow requires a certain specific lifestyle and needs. If you don't go hiking all the time and it's not your emergency supply in an Altoids box, it's a bit of a different choice.
Credit card multitools come in a variety of styles and manufacturers.
From very cheap Chinese 1-5 dollar cards to expensive ones.  If you need a glass scraper, some iteration of the Valet Ninja will do the trick  :)

My favorite OPT is a TTPocketTools Chopper.  It is a nice little tool that packs a lot into it size.  I especially like the sharpened corner that works as a package opener; it is discreet but works well.
