I carried a Camper for awhile...it was a great tool set!
I carried my first SAK, a Camper for nearly 5 years.  I have to agree with it being a great tool set.  :tu:

Enjoying this thread, I almost joined, but have some obligations, so I figured I'd cheer from the sidelines.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

DAY 04

Back to the cutting tasks to feed this guy. From the looks of it eating is about all I do. All good when you have a sharp blade and I stroped my Camper well before the start, so cutting like a dream.

Day 4:

For the first time in over a year I actually forgot to take my SAK when I left the house. Totally bummed. No uses missed except fidgeting and admiring. I came home and immediately put the awl to good use cleaning underneath my nails.

Day 4

To all those who would say the key ring is not a “tool” or a “function”…..

I used the key ring to attach a rope to use the Camper as a weight to toss the rope over a beam. I was hanging a piñata on the deck for my daughter’s birthday party this evening.

Thanks Explorer. This run was made from some really soft wood, I think maple. Unfortunately its so soft it is already taking on some dents. I have some pecan logs that are  slated to become V2, but need to be processed down. It is fun working with something easier to shape than AL or steel.

Looks highly functional to me :tu: nice work. I have a love hate with the ring, and usually remove it if there is a hook on the back to clamp in my regular loop of paracord I use to dangle from my belt to pocket. But other times I like how it rattles around.

I tend to remove the key ring on my 58mm SAKs. I keep them in a pocket and not on my keys.

But I usually leave the key ring on a 91mm or 81mm SAK. This isn’t the first time I’ve tied a rope or string to it for one reason or another…

That sucks. At least no uses popped up while you were out.

They are wrong!

Day 4

I guess opening a fresh box of Doritos is an important use?

DAY 05

Started the day with some relaxing coffee, and thought I'd post on the coffee and Vic thread. So there is my Camper with what may be a camper bus?
Used the small blade today to cut open some Brauts.
Plan on using that main blade later to cut by Brauts and enjoy them with some sauerkraut and steak fries for dinner.

Come to think of it will use that small blade again to open the bag of steak fries too.

Always handy and 98% of the time in my pocket. Victorinox!

DAY 05

Used the cap lifter on the WC to open a bottle of bubbly water. Then used the small blade to open a plastic bag. Bella proudly carried the white camper on our very short and chilly walk.

Looking good y'awl!  :salute:

Thats a very cute Sak carrying friend you have there Explorer.

Day 5

Today I took my camper hiking but did not have much use out there. Here at home the small blade was used to gently pry some warm scales off a mod I am fine tuning though. Worked like a charm.

Day 5

Another snack freed from its shipping box. Hopefully it'll be warm enough for some saw usage soon.

Towel bar in the bathroom was loose, so…

Macgyver tool to the rescue (ie - the can opener) to tighten the screws on the mounting plate.

DAY 06

The Gem and Mineral show is in town and today was a beautiful 79° day with warm sun.

Looked around at all the goodies, and it is formidable cause we only spent about 3hrs, and didn't even finish the area we were in.

Either way it was a fun time. My Camper in an agate bowl.

Day 6:

Took the camper out into its element and did a little backyard practice with my tarp. This is an ideal toolset for making stakes.

Day 5

I used the main blade to cut up my son’s chicken fingers at a restaurant this evening. I didn’t get an action shot but here’s a picture of the Camper I used.

I use them for that purpose if I can't get to my Knotter's Tool.

Camper saves the day! :tu:

Day 6

I cut the wrap off a four-pack of ravioli...only to find dipsmurf pull tabs and no opportunity for can opener use. :twak:

Day 7:

Today was an unexpected off day so another hike was in order. Came home and used the can opener for some black beans. I am making some chicken and bean burritos.

DAY 07

Turned out to be a beautiful day today. Got to spend some more quality with the pup so it was a good day. Used the saw to cut a broken branch on a lilac bush.

DAY 07

Was a busy day in the Dusty Desert. Camper did come out of pocket to cut my pepper jack cheese for my work snack. Awl was used on my fingernails.

Again the Camper filled my duties and I have been enjoying the pocket time, as I really forget I have it on me. Even rode 5th pocket on yesterday's adventure with no hiccups.
