Leatherman OHT - Camo
on: January 29, 2023, 03:36:51 AM
The Leatherman OHT (One Hand Tool) is a multi-tool designed for military and first responders, it was first released in 2010. The tool features a unique design that allows for one-handed operation of all its functions, including pliers, wire cutters, and various blades.

The Camouflage OHT was a limited edition version that was released by Leatherman in partnership with a company that specializes in camo patterns.

The OHT was designed to meet the needs of outdoorsmen, hunters, and military personnel who rely on their tools in the field. It's built to withstand the rigors of heavy use and it's a perfect tool for those who want to carry a durable and reliable multi-tool that can help them to accomplish a wide variety of tasks.

Sig Sauer P320 Scorpion and a few Jack Carr novels don’t hurt either.

hate to be the neg nancy but this tool is, in my opinion, the least good leatherman tool. To me it seems inspired by the gerber diesel (gasp) :o and manages to be less good than the original.
bigger than the surge with tools that are all smaller than any other leatherman i can think of except maybe the squirts. I bought one 5 years  ago, $55 at sears. I cut it out of the package, played with it for about 5 minutes and back in the package it went. i've taken it out a few times since but probably no more than 30 minutes total out of the package since i got it.

The OHT overall isn't the best but the camo version looks better than almost all other LM ;) and I think that this rare version is just so awesome :D :like: :like:

Never knew this existed.  This is one of the better looking camo LM tools.  While I agree the OHT isn't the best LM I had fun carrying mine for a short while.  Sliding pliers were fun but holding a brick was not.

:gimme: that camo any day tho.

I agree with the previous comments and, in particular, the length of the blades. I also found them too short having tried carrying the OHT, for work, over a challenge period.

I like the spring loaded pliers but, overall, I found the tool far too bulky.

I'll never get rid of mine because I got it very early on and, like all LMs they are silly expensive now in the UK  :ahhh
However, that camo look is fantastic...
They don't like it up 'em!

I agree with Poncho, this Camo version of the OHT is beautiful and that picture is calendar worthy!

I disagree with cnlson, the OHT is not like Diesel or MP600 or the MP400 Gerber.  Those MTs required you to deploy the plier head to access the blades and other tools.  The OHT solved that issue, making the handles thicker (brick like), and fitting the tools into the handle with outside access.  Shorter examples yet totally functional for the purpose intended.

I will admit, this not the first MT I but on my belt or in my pocket on typical days, but it is in the top five tied with the Wingman and Side Kick, and I’m above the Surge and Rev of goto tools.  It would higher but this summer I scored a PST and a Pulse which tied with ST200.

Shucks, I thought myself sick having enjoyed in the OHT challenge back a few years ago, I gifted my OHT to Rapid Ray.  I missed that tool and found another four months later.  It is always handy on my work bench. And has not failed me once.  I can even throw it and do damage if a Rabid coon attacks😉

My ugly but trusty OHT in Bo!

Legend, congratulations on scoring the Camo, at first I thought you were cut and paste and older LM promo piece. The handgun is mush newer version. 👍

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Thanks brother.  Unfortunately I don’t collect small or heavy duty sized Leatherman anymore so I am looking at some trades for the long term.

I definitely had to get it to take a look and I agree with most here that it is the best looking camo pattern ever to be put on a Leatherman.

It just showed up on my eBay feed.

Very nice!

I was expecting a more glamorous event!
As on a flea market table tucked in a bag of duck decoys, or wife dragged me to an estate sale and I found in a kitchen drawer with the spatulas or such.

Glad you scored it in the auction site!!!

I’ve had some fun story finds with others but ya, this was just an eBay score.

I miss RapidRay, as I sent him my OHT after that challenge as reward for his cheerleading and compliments.  I know that spring ‘20 he did returned to Atlanta and did a tour maintaining A/C units for previous employer and post pictures of his apples being sliced for snacks. Then COVID start shutting everything down.  I then lost track…😔
