Day 59 of 60!

So 59 days later and I finally get around to trying out the sheath and belt purchased for this Challenge, sigh.

The belt is fine. Only own gun belts and this one is very different. Seems pretty well made and the leather smell is on point.

The sheath is also very different than anything else I own being horizontal and designed to be worn more to the front.

Having the tool on the front makes it extra easy to pull out or put back in the sheath. Being horizontal though keeps it out of the way of bent legs or belly nicely.

So far pretty happy with it. Wasn’t very expensive either which is nice.

Always been a vertical sheath kinda guy but this style is great.

Going to get more like this for sure, maybe something that fits a Sodbuster.

Day 59

Got some garden work and seed sowing done before the rain hit. Here is a shot of the trifecta. This season I am doing some experiments with using lambsquarter as a trellis for snap peas and cucumber. Today the champ was thriving at srripping all the overhanging lq to open up the light to the pea plant below.

Not necessarily the worst as a shovel, at least it wouldn’t snap in half like many trowels tend to - but resharpening and cleaning may negate any benefit  :D

So far the full tang hori hori knife has earned its place as my beat garden multi tool. Thing is a beast for heavy duty digging/prying/hacking/sawing.

!!!! Final day !!!!  :ahhh

I decided to have some leftovers from last nights feast and the champ helped me out with the steak. Beats the heck out of my worn out kitchen knives.

The food was so good, I cooked the beans on the grill in an iron skillet and they got all smokey flavored.

Having only just got my champ back in February, this 60 days was my first intimate time with it. The security of having all those tools is  amazing. I will definitely be keeping this thing intact and ready for duty.
