A singletool to maintain my multitools
on: February 15, 2023, 09:11:28 PM
First of all I'm sorry I know it is a multitool forum and I'm showing off a singletool BUT this tool is made to maintain and take care of my multitools and knives. Plus it is based on a multitool platform.

Handle: Swiss+tech 21 something in 1 plier based multitool (it is similar to the Ozark Trail Multiforce)
Bit-driver: Bibury 21 something in 1 plier based multitool
Scales: Sweet chestnut wooden floor.

I hope you'll like it despite its single tooling

A bit of context:
I made this tool because I was inspired by the Big Idea Design driver, but I wanted to added a little bit of flair to it with nice wooden scales. I wanted to work with wood for a long time but I didn't find the time nor the project to do it.

In details:
I made no modification to the handle outside of shortening the spring bar and replace the rivet with a small fastener and a bolt to hold it in place. For the scales I used some leftovers wooden floor laying around my father's garage. Finally I made a "spacer"/bit holder for the back of the tool just to balanced the design and evenly tightening the frame (if that make sense), I've added a small magnet in the cut out to hold a bit in place.

I hope you'll enjoy it and sorry again for the singletool

Purpose built tools are the best. I like what you did on this.
