Leatherman Style CS discontinued?
on: March 10, 2023, 09:19:20 PM
Greetings from Ireland. I am really interested in acquiring the Leatherman Style CS. It would be perfect for me but, as per usual, fate intervenes and says that I shalt not have it! - discontinued it is apparently 😭
I need a readily accessible scissors and the carabiner means I can quickly disconnect from keyring when using..... Instead of having a jailers key collection hanging off it when cutting something. I already have the Gerber Splice and it is very useful but has the aforementioned drawback.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? 🙏🙏🙏

The Style PS is yet listed on the USA web site.
Main tool is Pliers, secondary are scissors, nail file.  No knife blade so TSA compliant, they say.

I have two of these, but one rides in checked bag just be safe.

LM also has the Micra with scissors as main tool. Very versatile and with small key ring can ride on keys and easy to remove if you use a small s-hook.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Dropping the Style (without replacing it) would mean completely ceding the bladeless market to other companies. Seems like an odd decision. Unless they're going to surprise us all with something when we were distracted by the Arc and Garage 4.

Here in small town New Zealand, you often see long-discontinued products still being sold NIB simply because no one has purchased them.

I just purchased a NIB Crunch from a local hardware store that was made in 2021. Coincidently, when I made that purchase there was a NIB Style PS sitting in the display case at the time.

I have zero interest in it, but if someone would like for me to purchase and ship it to them them - I would be willing to figure that out with you. Send me a PM and we can chat further.

That's quite a score.     When we learned that the Crunch was doomed to oblivion, I tracked down 2 more of them just because they become almost impossible to acquire after they are gone.

I spotted it randomly over Christmas break in a small town hardware store. I was traveling around a bit and started looking a bit more proactively in other stores and saw a couple other Crunch tools for sale NIB.

I have seen this with other items like Victorinox models long discontinued. Picked up a Victorinox Locksmith not long ago which has been discontinued for a couple years.
