91mm Vic metal saw and spring or full donor knife
on: March 17, 2023, 08:04:01 PM
If you have a spare metal file/saw and spring from a Victorinox 91mm model I be interested in discussing a  transaction ;0) alternatively a complete model mountaineer, Ranger or the like containing the metal saw in any condition ( as long as the saw and spring are good of course) could also be of interest. I’m after the newer stainless thicker version preferably but I’d take and old style one if that’s all that’s going.

Cheers

I've got some spares but shipping from South Africa makes it an uneconomical option.

As a fallback option I can keep a lookout on spanish ebay and act as a middleman with a middleman. PM me if you have any price limits for basing a search on.

I do have an old file knocking around if it comes to that. Postage from Ireland in a letter can't be too bad.
But it seems like the new file is to die for. :ahhh Hopefully you find one.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Don, if you do have an old one with spring that could
work for me for this build. I have a fluted corkscrew and an old 2.4mm main blade so could make and old school one perhaps. Let me know if you can do that and what you’d like for them if you can.  Might have solution!  :tu:

I just checked my box, the file which I thought I had was not in there  instead I found 3 saws and 3 fish scalers and a bunch of springs.
Really sorry about that, hopefully you find one!
I'll keep looking in case I misplaced it, but I'm starting to think it was a figment of my imagination.
