If you are intending to buy multiple drones, then yes.

If you are intending to buy one drone, then not so much.

Right now the Neo with the goggles and Motion Controller is on my list of things to buy when and if budget allows.  Being able to fly FPV was one of the biggest attracting features of the Neo for me.  I have a Mini 3 Pro and two Mini 2’s and so the standard controller concept isn’t important to me- I have that area well covered with the Minis, my Phantom 4 and my Parrot Anafi.

The autonomous flying modes and the FPV alone make the Neo an extremely valuable drone.  I’d have considered it a bargain at twice the price.

It tends to add up some times. Time will tell I guess.

I ended up ordering a Mini 4 Pro on sale. I think that should do all I want, and likely also some stuff I don't know yet that I want. FPV is interesting, but hard to do alone within the rules and regulations here, so not for now.

Thinking of protective shells - it seems that for filaments it is a thing now to heat (and basically remelt I suppose) any prints that needs toughness in fine salt. (Personally I would think many fine grained powders might do, but salt is fairly heat resistant and cheap so why not). To get toughness across filament layers the concept at least makes sense.
