A few of my “police oldies”:
1) The knife (Adola) was a gift for 12.5 years of 'faithful service' (also applied to reserve police).
On March 8, 1948, the Beel cabinet decided to establish a reserve police force. On May 3, 1948, the Minister of the Interior, Dr. P.J. Witteman announced the creation of a reserve police force. The creation of a reserve police force was the result of three important developments:
• The Netherlands was occupied by the Germans for five years;
• Fear of political (communist) unrest;
• Fear of the war in Indonesia.
The establishment of a reserve police force was laid down in the National and Municipal Police Reserve Decree of August 2, 1948, Staatsblad I 350. When the new Police Act came into effect on July 4, 1957, the reserve police were discussed for the first time.
At the same time as the disappearance of the state police and the municipal police (April 1, 1994), and the arrival of regional police forces, the police reserve was transformed.
2) The “tool” comes from the Police Museum in Rhenen.
The National Police Corps was established on November 8, 1945. The Corps was disbanded on April 1, 1994. A reorganization of the Dutch Police then took place in which the National Police Corps and the Municipal Police Forces were merged into several national regional forces.
3) An 'M.M.M.' (mini unbranded multi) tool that I know nothing about.
4) Buck – 318 Parallex Select Folding Knife
Knife dates from 2007 and is/was in use by D.S.I. (Special Interventions Service), I’m told.
