Day 0Here's my Spirit (I believe an XC? Scissors and butterblade).
It does not. I think (tang is smaller so it's harder to tell) it has the late aught style tang stamp with the taller V and wider Swiss Made.
I've always considered Spirit best-in-class MT for years, and now with the one hand opening blade, the best just gets better.
How're people liking the OHO now that we've had some time with it? I know it got a lot of poor impressions when it first came out. That's part of the reason I tried to lock down a XC before they all disappeared/got stupid expensive.
I have never had an issue opening the blades without it. I also prefer not losing any cut capacity that the tab introduces. Not that this has impeded anything for me, but still like having full use of the blade.
Anyone got good advice for pouch/pocket organizer for wrench and bits, i have Spirit+ pouch but i find very uncomfortable to take out tool itself when wearing gloves cause it goes so deep in pouch.
Cheers!
Day 1And so it begins.... finally! Been looking forward to this one since announced. Here are the variants I am going to carry for the next 60 days. I am also going to carry one of the Alox models to supplement missing tools on the particular version ( i.e. Farmer X when carrying the MXBS since it lacks a saw; Pioneer X when carrying either "S" version, which is my favorite, since these lack scissors; and finally a Solo when carrying the Clip or my second favorite Butter blade). I might acquire and XBS before the end of this challenge and will add it if I do. I had one and the tools were all loose so I returned it. Funded some other models, including the three Alox here and I am banned from ordering anything until November, LOL. Oh, I am also going to carry one of two Wera bit adaptors so that I can drive 1/4 fasteners. The two bit kits, L driver or ratchet and corkscrew might also make an appearance, but I do not usually sheath carry these and that is too many extras for my pockets. Will see as this could change over the next 2 months and plenty of time to experiment and try things out. I could see making a small pouch that includes everything and some common sockets that I need too. Thank you Barry for coordinating this one!!!! Looking forward to reading all the posts and seeing all the pictures!!Oh, and Truman is one of my pups who is supportive of this effort. I will check in with Reggie later to get his thoughts.
Day 1Scissors opened a new cat toy for Pumpkin. Not Vic's usual design, but they performed well.

Day 2Inspired by NutSAK’s Spirit MX and Solo PlusSpirit XC and Solo(Image removed from quote.)
An L. Shield Skinth should work well, and allow better access for gloves. The loadout below is Spirit plus L-wrench but I think it would work fine for the ratchet as well. Another option would be to buy a clip for the Spirit so it is easy to access from your pocket and find a small pouch just for the ratchet and bits.(Image removed from quote.)
Day 1No real use, so why not start with a glamour shot of my favorite(Image removed from quote.)
