The two most-used knives in my kitchen are Victorinox, and they're the best stainless kitchen knives I've owned. 7.7403.20G and 6.8520.17GI have a handful of carbon knives, Ontario and Boker, that are great as well.
Used the knife to open the packing for the clip I ordered. Yes, I ordered a black clip. My preference for pocket carry. I kinda dig the look and I think it will be a game changer for carrying the spirit.
Used the Butterblade to slice open numerous letters, all requiring attention.
I’ll start this challenge today as my 36th new year starts
That black clip does look classy! Like a black tie on a tuxedo. Great share. 👍For opening clam packs, have you tried the sharp edge of the can opener? It should pull through with less pressure and better control.
Day 6As Coco has really bad arthritis I’ve had to cover the floors with yoga mats to stop her slipping, a job they do well even if the completely random colours and designs do look pretty odd….another couple bought and opened (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Hopefully nothing bad. Most of the letter-type mail I receive goes straight into the paper shredder.Happy belated birthday! Great work thus far, y'awl!
It almost seems like they're meant to be more snips than scissors. They're definitely heavy duty cutters.
Exactly. I don’t like a clip sending SOS signals. 😂
I just got back from my trip and a week without a computer is both freeing and frustrating. I will start today as soon as I figure out where I packed my camera. So many great pictures and creative uses so far. I hope I don't disappoint.
Yes, and that's exactly why I like them--that and the heavy-duty non-replaceable spring. I owned an "S" model at one time and sold it promptly because I missed those awesome scissors. I certainly wouldn't want Victorinox to replace all of the SAK scissors with this design, but I think they're very well matched to a plier MT.
Happy belated birthday in_sympathy. Mid 30s is a good time. Dan and Barry, I love getting junk mail or having the odd bill once it’s posted… an excuse to sit out by the fire.Lots of great uses everyone. I’m enjoying the novel uses like BPR trying to prune with the wire cutter. The technique probably would work on other materials or thinner branch. I haven’t got to use the chisel tip yet, but that’s one of my favorite tools on the Spirit. Leatherman really needs to adapt a similar tool. Several folks using the scissors and liking them. I think they work great for cutting Velcro, thick tapes and plastics, but not so much fine detail. Edit: agreed with Barry and NS! Looks like we’re all of similar thought processes today.Poor Coco! Is she on any anti-inflammatory meds to help?
