I have too Alan.  It'd be good to have you!  The Spirit is a completely different animal!
I love the PST.  It's actually what brought me to MTO.  It's a basic tool set in a very carry friendly package.  At one time, it was the only multi tool I had. 
I'd like to see Vic play with different style pliers heads like Gerber does.  A blunt nose Spirit would be interesting.

Hmm...great.  I didn't even realize there's a PST challenge in November.  I haven't done either one.  I suppose the PST one will come up again though.

The hardest part about carrying a Spirit for me is that I never want to carry a SAK with it since it already has all the tools.  That's a good thing and a bad thing; I carried the Spirit a lot when I did the traditional knife challenge this year and always felt prepared.

I’m of the mindset the Spirit helps certain SAKs really shine, like pairing it with an Explorer, Waiter, Rally, or MC… or even an Alox Pruner. 

Just carrying a LM or Spirit isn’t enough for me. I need a SAK to level out the tool kit and be prepared even if it’s a 58mm.

Both my spirits have the butter blade so I like to carry another slim SAK (Compact works well) or a SE knife, whether trad, folder, fixie or whatever

My Butter blade is a Serrated Edge and the spear point version is a PE.

Do you have a Spear Point that is a SE?
And a Butter blade that is a PE?

I thought I had both variants of the spirit X.

Ps: I do have a Spartan with a SE!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!
