I've been wondering what they were going to carry since they discontinued the Bolster.  Was going to Costco sometime this week anyway so I'll have a look. :salute:

Soooo when I found this I spent an hour agonizing about getting it before I put it back with trembling hands.

I honestly can’t justify getting it and believe me I went through all the angles (gifts, earthquake kit, etc. ). I’ve always wanted a KB but not the serrated version.

If anyone gets it I would love to see pics and the story on why you got it so that I can derive any twisted pleasure from pretending I bought this.  :facepalm:

Went to Costco yesterday (Pembroke Pines, FL) and they did not have a Leatherman display.  This may be a limited market item to see how well it does.  I hope they will eventually be in all stores.

Just came back from a grocery run. They moved the display from end cap to the main aisle and down to about 30-40 units.
Weird, I know that some Costcos have unique products per city but I’ve only seen that in food like Asian stuff.

Anyways it looks like it’s on its last legs. Maybe all gone in a few weeks.

I’m beyond puzzled. Since I did previously buy two I ended up at the Return desk to get a refund of the difference.

Coz I’m cheap.

The guy told me they dropped the price to get rid of it.

Down to maybe a dozen left in Costco. Price went down to $55. Managed to get the difference refunded again at the Returns desk. Gotta love Costco.

I found it the Hayward (CA) Costco yesterday.  When I confirmed the prices of the individual items on Amazon and Leatherman, I went back today to get one. I really only wanted the knife.  That's a $40 item.  By spending only  $25 more, I was able to get a Skeletool ($75 on the Leatherman site).

To be honest, I'm not impressed with the Skeletool.  I think my Wingman is better, especially considering it has spring action pliers.  I do like the bit driver on the Skeletool and its light weight.
