PST carrier to LM collector

My name is Craig and I carried a PST for 25 years. It was used on an almost daily basis to fix anything and everything up to and including 70 ton Caterpillar rock trucks.
Late last year I took a job as a YMCA Facilities Director, which, if you didn't know, means maintenance guy. In this role I continued to use my PST all the time but worried that the chemicals and abuse could damage the tool that my dad gave me. I stumbled on a YouTube video about a guy that won the Alone tv show and he was talking about the new P4, so I decided that's what I needed. Somehow a couple months later I have more Leathermans than I can remember.
I haven't decided which one is best for me yet, but I carry a Crunch and a Surge every day along with double ended Wiha bits, a 711L ratchet, and some other small tools. It's a heavy load but my tools are in the basement and I enjoy NOT having to go get them whenever possible.
So far I've tricked out a Rebar which is what I carry when I'm not at work. It now has a bit exchanger and all it lost was the small flat screwdriver. I'd really like to mod a PST so it had a saw and a small file, but haven't found a file that will work yet. I did get a Rebar saw and it works ok in the PST but I took it back out because I used the file a lot.
Anyway that's my story. One YouTube video and it's all over. At least it makes my job a little easier I guess...

Welcome Craig! You have done good. 👍
I retired from a couple different fields, computer services and parking lot construction and then while waiting for my wife to retire and to keep busy I joined the YMCA at Jorgensen in Fort Wayne as their maintenance guy and Certified Pool Operator.
Understand the chemicals, but the Stainless Steel has little affect from exposure. A Rebar or SuperTool 300 used daily.
However, BO tools not tolerant. My OHT exposed to acid vapors is tinted brown near the pivot points on the handle.
You started correctly with the PST and finding the Rebar is natural.
I started with a ST300, then worked into a Rebar. And then a Pulse, and a PST and a Japanese PST.
AWL are great tools😎

Welcome to MTO. Heck of a journey. That PST sure had a great life. Nice to hear you are liking the Crunch. Heck of a tool thats for sure. Long time appreciator of the Surge as well. Not having to walk back and forth for tools is exactly what these terrific MTs are about. They can also do some pretty serious work as well.
Glad you joined up and sorry for your wallet.
