Gerber customer service and warranty

Almost four years ago Gerber seemingly severed their phone number for customer service and has now entirely gone to email based support.  That would be well enough only this can take days, weeks or even longer even four years later to have any warranty claims or in some cases questions answered. 

Now i get it; financially this makes sense as a for profit corporation seeks to minimize expenses.  As I mentioned prior; this change happened almost four years ago.

I’ve had several warranty claims lately. All handled within a few weeks. I think that it is hit or miss and could be their email system kicking potential spam.
