I cut my teeth on my dad's Remington Mighty Mite chainsaw. That thing just wouldn't give up. Though small, it took on some pretty nice size logs and branches. I'm not sure what happened to it. Below is a similar saw to my dad's original.
Years later, I found myself on five acres, much of which was trees, trees, trees. Did I mention trees?
Most were alive and well, but occassionally an early cold spell would take out a few and I needed a tool that would help with the job.
Enter my Echo CS-352. What a great machine! It makes short work of logs just under 16". We had a strong wind come through our place a few years back that took down a rather large tree. The Echo munched right through it grinning all the way.
On a side note, the trailer my chainsaw is sitting on in this picture was made from an old Ford pickup box. My dad used to pull it with an old Ford 8N tractor. I inherited the trailer prior to my dad's passing and it is still going strong hauling wood, fencing and mowers on my place.
