Does gaffer tape count?
I swear in my life that after my last kiri I made I used Duct tape to hold together a rather nasty gut would caused by a spinning blade of death (pillar drill + knife blank + loose grip = spinning wheel of death)

Band aids are, at best, a fashion statement.Superglue is a lot more effective, and generally cleaner.
I have a small FAK in my EDC bag, along with Krazy Glue, duct tape, and a small sewing kit.So it is bandage or glue for small cuts if needed, glue and duct tape if they are larger, and stitches if need be and I am not near medical help.So far in my life I have only needed stitched without proper medical staff only once. It was painful, but worked out just fine. Not something I look forward to repeating.
Dudes and dudesses,Please DO NOT use glue in cuts.....unless its surgically approved stuff your average over the counter superglue is VERY toxic and will cause more harm than good
how many of you carry band-aids as part of your EDC?
Yup I carry a small first aid kit in my EDC bag. Partly because I'm a first aider and felt I should, but mostly because I have a little girl with NO fear what-so-ever.
Most of the DIY stuff is ethyl cyanoacrylate based. It can have some unpleasant side effects and you certainly wouldn't want it in a wound. Also commonly used is methyl cyanoacrylate, this doesn't seem to be quite as unpleasant. The medical stuff is 2-octyl-cyanoacrylate based. You can wake up now.No I don't recommend using super glue to stick yourself back together but yes I have done it Neil
