Is that rubber on the end of a pencil?

OT, I always used electrical tape to wrap up any cuts in my last job.

When nothing else will work, electrical tape will.  :D  Band-Aids don't like wet, dirty, sweaty skin.  I can't always stop work to clean a little bo-bo. The ET works till I can reach a proper kit.

I usually have a band-aid or two in my jacket pocket. Or any tape if I'm too lazy to find my jacket. Flashlight, on my keychain, 3/8 inch snap shackle that my keys are on. And I always try to have a couple of dollars on me. Enough for a phone call if my cell phone is dead, or some gas if I run out. Neither of which has happened, but I carry that stuff anyhow.

You're going to have to work on a catchier name for it than that :D

I am always blood letting due to general over exuberance and impatience. I carry duct tape, needle and thread, alcohol wipe and bandaid in my wallet. Along with a tiny PNY 4gb drive (which I must put sensible things on such as take my damn kidneys, ICE info etc), credit card and cash, that covers most of my usual stupidity bases  :D

Hospital is good, but not always an option.  Twice in my life I have done my own stitches when hospitals weren't available.  It's unpleasant, but better than leaving it open to bleed and let all kinds of nasties in.

Still, the needle and thread in my medical kit sees more buttons than flesh, and I like it that way!

Me either- if anyone is, I think they need to seek professional help!  Still, I don't have a particular dislike of them- if it's gotta be done, it's gotta be done IMHO.  I have known some extremely large, powerful men, who have completely broken down and started crying when getting a needle though, so I understand how they can affect people.  I am just not one... too pragmatic for my own good I guess!

i use to be like that, i couldn't even hear the word needle, but i got cure a time i got hospitalized and they got to take blood samples every day at 5 am for a week until the last day a nurse saw mi left arm(where they have been taking all the samples, all bruise and beat up) and say: "wow, ok, maybe we should start taking blood from the other arm", at that point i just didn't care

now is not that bad, like you said: "if it's gotta be done, it's gotta be done" but that doesn't mean i don't try to avoid them if possible :D

I'm not afraid of blood or needles (at one point I was going to be a phlebotomist) but I couldn't perform needlework on myself.
