I've had a workchamp for more than 20 years, that saved me a lot of time. It's could use a replacement of scissors and metal saw/file though. Sending it to victorinox is too expensive. Is there a cheaper way to source new parts?

They're great knives! Is it shipping that is so expensive? I've only had to pay $5 USD to have my knives refurbed by Vic.

I bought myself a work champ! Love this thing. As I have purchased for SAKS I've become more of a fan of the 111mm models, and 130mm compared to the 91mm.

I guess it depends. For EDC the 58 and 74 SAKs. For serious work, the 111s, especially the Workchamp. They're built!

Up until today, the only Vic knife from the bigger line I had was the 08 Soldier. Now I got this bad boy and I'm an exact copy of the emoji -
Love the two inline Phillips drivers and the blade on that one. I do miss having a small blade though, I've found that often times a small blade works better for me than a big one. But I guess I'll just carry a small traditional to make it company

Work Champ properly sorted some cardboard-cutting for the little girl's craft project. She asked if I had a craft knife to hand – a sensible question indeed – but the Work Champ made short work of it all!

It's a pretty hefty thing, although not quite as I expected. The scales are a little slippier than the usual cellidor, and the outer liner on mine was crushed in so badly that I couldn't open the can opener until after I'd straightened it a fair bit.
I already know the ILP deployment method will annoy me, but at least I have them. I'm also not a fan of the contoured scales, but at least they don't actively irritate like the Evo ones, and teh liner lock doesn't dig into my hand like that on the Soldier 08.
Other than that, this thing is 'an absolute unit', as the hip young folk say nowadays, so I look forward to dismaying all my friends with what is honestly a bit of EDC overkill and thus perfect for my current lifestyle!!
