Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Is anyone else here amazed to find that almost twenty percent of the participants in the poll own more than 600 SAKs (status August 2023)?

I just cannot get my head around the idea of owning that many SAKs. I must therefore assume that I have absolutely no idea about what being a collector is really about, about what goes on in a true collector's mind. 🤔

To any of the >600 out there who might read this: if any of you feels capable to explain the phenomenon, I for one would really appreciate it.

I’m confused - the poll at the top says 4.1% for more than 600 knives…. :dunno:

I don't have 600, but I can see how it would happen.  You start with a knife you like, but you like others, so you buy more.  Then there's Alox, and variations, and more and more...

I have mostly Vics, but God help me, I've become enamored of Wengers.
