All good and well unless you bite your nails like me
BUT - I really think the scissors/hook layer and the saw layer would be better swapped so you would have blade/corkscrew layer, then scissors/hook layer, then saw layer, then openers/corkscrew layerAs it is, the hook is really snug up against the keyring and sometimes quite difficult to open and also partly obscures access to the awl nail nickIf the scissors/hook layer and saw layer were switched over then the hook would be easier to get at and also the awl would have better acess toAnyone any thoughts?
I understand where you’re coming from, but have to admit I’ve never had a problem with the existing configuration, whether opening the hook or awl.
If you chew your nails, maybe reserve one nail, such as the left thumbnail, for SAKs. Whenever you feel the urge to chew nails, avoid that one. Keep it medium short and well manicured. Who knows maybe over time you can add a finger or two now and then to the clipper and file routine and eventually stop biting?
The same cannot be said with closing them; I've caught them on the key ring more than once.
