84/85mm combo
on: October 04, 2023, 08:40:25 PM
I recently got a couple of 84mm's and an 85mm Wenger and hot damn if it doesn't feel like the right size for me!
My plan is to have a Deluxe Tinker / Tradesman style knife with 3 layers. Having never disassembled a Wenger / Evo, my question is how doable would this be:

1st layer: Evo locking blade opposite a Bantam combo tool
2nd layer: Evo scissors
3rd layer: Evo pliers

back tools: Philips, Awl

How different are the Evo/Wenger models to the 84mm Victorinox, is it reasonable to replace the nail file with a combo tool? And is there a chance of fitting the awl on the back or are the only back options for scissors and pliers layers without back tools?

Welcome aboard! I'm not the best person to answer that, but I'm sure someone will come along to help.

It seems like an interesting idea, just remember:
